Meet The Team
Managing Director
Billy Baker is the Managing Director here at Floral Décor. Billy comes from a Horticulture background and has a love for all plants.
He started the business over 40 years ago and is well known by all of our clients, Billy will often check on clients displays, liaise with clients about new contracts, additional plants and refurbishments.
He has great relationships built over the years with all of our clients and can advise you on any budget whether its some plants for the office or a full refurbishment of your hotel. Billy is also the Managing Director of our sister company Elegance Florists, a cornerstone of the Douglas Road.
Elegance also provides corporate flowers for Floral Décor and provide floral displays for corporate clients.
Contracts Manager
Our contracts Manager Zorica has over 35 years of experience in both Horticulture and Floristry and has spent most of her working life here with us at Floral Décor and Elegance Florists. She has used her wealth of knowledge and established a satisfied customer portfolio across all sectors. Zorica will take you through the whole consultation phase.
After you have requested your initial consultation Zorica will meet you on site or liaise with architects and advise you on the best plants for your space that will thrive in the conditions. She will organise delivery and installation of all of your displays with the help of out horticulture technicians.
Part of her role will be to check on your displays and liaise with technician , determining refurbishments, replacements and handling all clients queries.
Horticulture Technicians
We have a number of Horticultural Technicians that service our routes. All our technicians have horticultural qualifications. They are dedicated to the health of your plants. All our technicians have great relationships with our clients. They will ensure the maintenance of your plants by inspecting the soil moisture levels and replenish as needed. Trim foliage as necessitated to retain an attractive shape. Removal of dead or decaying foliage/flowers. Removal of debris from surface of growing medium. Inspection for soil and foliar insect pests, and diseases and apply treatment. Replacement of plants where failures have occurred for no apparent reason. Feeding of plants as necessitated. Insertion of new potting compost as necessitated. Cleaning of plants, as necessitated, to ensure that they remain relatively dust free.
Florists
We have a team of Florists dedicated to your needs. Whether its flowers for your reception, statement piece for a hotel foyer or bouquets to celebrate birthdays, retirements etc our florists can advise you. The florists work at our Elegance Florists location on the Douglas Road and will liaise with Zorica your contracts manager for all your needs.
